Mortons Print recognise and acknowledge that our business activities can impact onto the environment in a number of ways, including the use of energy for our processes, through emissions to air and water and through the production of waste.

It is our aim to reduce any potential impact by operating in a responsible manner and having environmental consideration at the heart of our management systems whilst complying with applicable legal requirements and regulations.

Our policy applies to all of our systems, processes and management decisions in which we aim to promote best practice and continuous improvement as a committed approach to ensuring appropriate environmental controls are fully adopted.

Continuous improvement in our performance is achieved through regular monitoring of our performance at all levels, taking appropriate actions to ensure targets are met and through the setting of new ones.

Mortons Print embraces the concept that for any business to be successful it must operate in a sustainable environment.

Newsprint is our main raw material as well as being our biggest source of material waste and Mortons Print use Palm as its main newsprint supplier. It is not only the recycled raw materials that are used at Palm, that contribute to the conservation of natural resources, but their entire corporate governance is geared towards an environmentally compatible operation.

Palm are extensively certified according to respective environmental and quality standards for paper making across all of their production sites including FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and PEFC (Programme for Endorsement of Forest Certification).

We operate a policy of openness and we will make available on request any environmental information relevant to our processes.
